About

Our Story

For more than 30 years Washovia has provided temporary housing for families in need who have suffered from the loss of their home due to a fire, flood or other disaster which rendered their home unlivable.

Washovia was started during the aftermath of hurricane Andrew in 1992 where we delivered campers to families in need who suffered the loss of their homes. Since then we have been providing a quality service to homeowners and insurance companies.

Our Approach

Customer satisfaction is our number one priority. When a family experiences a disaster on their property life can become very frustrating and stressful. Insurance companies will lodge families in hotels until their home is rebuilt. This comes with a variety of problems for them to face. Their pets may have to be lodged in a kennel. Their children may have to ride a different school bus or the parents may have to transport them each day if they are lodged outside of the bus route for their district. Our service is beneficial for both the homeowner and their insurance company as the cost of temporary housing decreases dramatically when a homeowner is able to live on their property during the rebuilding or remodeling process.
